About me
My name is Shasta Hanna, I have been a teacher for 9 years. I have worked in places such as Ocean Man, Ochapowace File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council, and Peepeekisis over the course of my career, and I couldn’t be more excited to be currently working for File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council as their Literacy Consultant. My job entails a variety of aspects to teaching and learning. I look forward to continuing to educate as many young minds as I can about how to navigate and succeed in today’s world of reading, writing, comprehension through an online lens.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my Husband Ryan, Daughter Jade and our basset hound Willie Nelson. We also have a variety of animals on our ranch such as cows, cats, and horses. My husband and I Rodeo and train horses in our spare time so all the horses on our ranch are performance horses used for Rodeo. When I’m not on the back of a horse, or spending time with my family, I enjoy creating! My husband and I create anything and everything from custom furniture to car decals.
My favorite quote is “ Life isn’t meant to be easy, it’s meant to be lived. Sometimes happy, other times rough… But every up and down you learn lessons that make you strong”. Hiy Hiy
